AREAS THE GOVERNMENT CAN SAVE MONEY
The middle class and low income people are struggling to survive. People have a right to survive. People are willing to pay fair taxes, but they don't like being ripped-off. If taxes were simple, clean and fair, the IRS could be reduced to one-quarter its size, tax cheating would be lowered, and there would be no need for tax attorneys, tax advisors and tax preparers. They would have to go out and get real jobs!

HERE IS THE PLAN: If you make between $100,000 dollars and $20,000,000 dollars, you pay 10% in taxes. You pay 10% whether you have zero kids or ten kids, whether you own a house or live in a van, whether you give to charities or don't and whether you install a solar energy system or don't. 10% and that's it!!! If you make $150,000...10%. If you make $7,000,000, you pay 10%. $19,000,000...10%. Your tax return would ask how much did you make last year, and in this category, you would pay 10%. THAT SIMPLE. If you make between $90,000 and $99,999 you would pay 9%. $80,000 to 89,999...8%. $70,000 to $79,999...7%. $60,000 to $69,999...6%. $50,000 to $59,999...5%. $40,000 to 49,999...4%. $30,000 to $39,999...3%. $20,000 to $29,999...2%. $10,000 to $19,999...1%. And below this you would pay zero. On any amount earned "over $20,000,000 dollars," you would pay 15%. Is this system perfect...NO. Is it better than what we have now? BY FAR! No more forms 1040, 1090, 4868. No more schedule y, schedule d, schedule k. No more deductions for educator expenses, IRA deduction, student loan interest deduction, tuition and fees deduction, in home office deduction, deduction if you have red hair, deduction if you go bowling on Tuesdays...but lower taxes for everyone by keeping taxes simple, clean and fair.
NO MORE ZILLION TAX FORMS, BOOKLETS AND PUBLICATIONS. WHAT MONSTEROUS BUREAUCRACY CREATED THIS MESS????? THE MIDDLE CLASS AND LOW INCOME PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SURVIVE AND NEED TAX REFORM THE MOST!!! THE WEALTHY WILL SURVIVE SOMEHOW.

Jeffery Smith of the geonomist wants to eliminate income taxes completely and "run government like a business and charge full market value for the permits it issues, such as everything from corporate charters to emission allowances to resource leases." Read more about it at www.geonomics.org. ARTHUR: Will companies pass costs on to consumers? Sure they will. We may end up paying less in taxes, but more for goods and services. I don't think people want extreme change. People could accept more easily changing the income tax structure so that it is fair, than radically changing the entire tax structure. And speaking of radical...John Edwards, the democratic candidate for vice president, paid over $9 million in taxes on earnings of almost $27 million for the four years before he joined the senate.
